We are doing something new!

This month the Diocese of Missouri's Dismantling Racism Commission will host its first Beloved Community Gathering. The Beloved Community Gathering will be held at St. Stephen's Episcopal Church in Ferguson (33 N Clay) at 10 a.m. on Saturday, March 23.

Beloved Community Gatherings are a new take on DRC's monthly meetings. First, Beloved Community Gatherings are now quarterly on the fourth Saturday of the month instead of first Saturday of each month. Secondly, Beloved Community Gathering are times of fellowship, formation, and action. Each gathering will have a specific focus designed to equip, inform, and transform the way your church engages in the ministry of racial reconciliation.

kevin-anthony_266Our first Beloved Community Gathering in March will focus on reparative justice. The Rev. Kevin Anthony, pastor of Pilgrim Congregational UCC and member of St. Louis's Reparations Commission, will stop by to discuss his work on the commission and how churches can support this work and take other actions toward reparative justice in their communities.
