It has been an active half-year thus far for Jubilee Ministry. Added to the ten Jubilee Ministry Centers already named, Christ Church Cathedral in St. Louis and St. Stephen’s and the Vine in Ferguson became Jubilee Ministry Centers. Two more vestries are discerning if their parishes will become Jubilee Ministry Centers. The JustFood truck, a Jubilee Ministry of the Diocese, began its first, third, and fifth Saturdays in the parking lot of Christ Church Cathedral in March.
The JustFood truck will soon enlarge its territory to include a noonday meal at MONetwork (South City) and a dinner meal at St. Patrick’s Grace House Safe Haven (North City) on Wednesdays. Updates to social media continue through stories and pictures. Follow the food truck at @JustFoodTruck, a Ministry of the Episcopal Diocese of Missouri.
The future of the JustFood truck looks bright. There is a great enthusiasm and support from across the Diocese and even in the larger church for this ministry of meeting the people where they are. An invitation was received and accepted to hold a food truck workshop at Ecclesia Ministries 2025 Come and See Conference in South Dakota.
JustFood’s ministry partners continue to grow. Great thanks to St. Peter’s Episcopal Church in Ladue, Christ Church Cathedral in St. Louis, Grace Episcopal Church in Kirkwood, Emmanuel Episcopal Church in Webster Groves, Trinity Episcopal Church in St. Louis, Feed My People Food Pantry in South St. Louis County, and many individuals and volunteers. Their support is priceless.
Expect to see the JustFood truck at Diocesan Convention later this year!
