Dear Friends throughout the Diocese of Missouri,

It has been my privilege and my pleasure to serve as your diocesan communications director over the past five years. It’s been a wild and wonderful ride, but now it’s time for me to slow down a bit and make room for a new communications professional to bring a fresh spirit to this position.

I will be retiring August 15, 2024. I am looking forward to spending more time with my grown children and my baby granddaughter (who all live out of state). This is a somewhat early retirement for me, but it just feels like the right time to take this step. I will still be living in St. Louis and am planning to do part-time freelance communications work, so I will still be around!

The Diocese of Missouri has been my home for many years. My family began attending St. Martin’s in Ellisville when we moved to the St. Louis area in 2002. I began working at St. Martin’s in 2008; I accepted a position at Grace in Kirkwood in 2011; and then I made my way to the Diocesan Offices in 2019. I have made so many wonderful friends over all this time. Your faith and friendship mean so much to me.

I hope you will all support Bishop Deon and Canon Doris as they search for a new Communications Director for the Diocese. And I hope you will welcome and support that person when they arrive, just as you have welcomed and supported me!

Blessings,
Janis Greenbaum
