Beautiful Bridges partners with Vote Faithfully to create the Vote Faithfully Academy.
As a part of our diocese's ongoing Beautiful Bridges work, we would like to invite you to partake in the Vote Faithfully Academy on Aug. 24 from 10 a.m. to noon. This workshop will be held on Zoom, and is open to all members of the Episcopal Diocese of Missouri. Registration is required. You'll receive the meeting link after you register.
What is the Vote Faithfully Academy?
First, it is not a partisan program. The Vote Faithfully Academy is purposed around voter education and engagement. Election seasons are often filled with partisan rhetoric and propaganda, but our faith calls us to something deeper. The Vote Faithfully Academy asks individuals of faith to take this election season as an opportunity to better engage our faith and our baptismal covenant. The Episcopal Church understands that in order to vote faithfully we have to be formed and informed.
What to Expect?
The Vote Faithfully Academy is an opportunity to discuss with other faithful Christians about how our faith informs our politics, better understand the Episcopal Church's position on often divisive policy issues, and better discern with other Christians how Christ calls us to show up in the world. During the workshop, we will walk through resources from the Episcopal Church for your congregation that will help you better inform your faith community during this election season. You will also learn the myriad of ways you can support the election process, protect against misinformation, and support civil discourse.
In an incredibly divisive time, God calls us to work together, to pray together, and to vote faithfully. We are proud to support and encourage you all to continue to share the peace and strive to be beautiful bridges.
