The Diocese of Missouri Episcopal Church Women honored six outstanding nominees for Distinguished Woman at a luncheon on April 23 at St. Martin’s Episcopal Church in Ellisville. Angela Breehar of St. Paul’s Carondelet was recognized as the Distinguished Woman for 2022 for her service to the church and her community. Angela will be honored as the Diocese of Missouri’s representative for the National ECW Distinguished Woman at the National ECW Triennial in July.

Angela is the Development Assistant at Episcopal City Mission and a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church in the Carondelet neighborhood of St. Louis. She has also worked as an assistant in the Offices of the Bishop and the parish administrator at Grace Church in Kirkwood and Emmanuel in Webster Groves. She has also served as the senior warden at St. Paul's, a member of Diocesan Council, and as a mentor to many in the Diocese.

“Angela will never put herself forward, but she is a tireless advocate and servant for the people and organizations she loves and believes in,” said the Rev. Rebecca Ragland, rector at St. Paul's.

The other nominees for the Diocese Distinguished Woman included Victoria Brown of Christ Church Rolla, Deborah Baker Dukes of All Saints & Ascension Northwoods, Doris Love of Calvary Louisiana, Phyllis Powers of Advent Crestwood, and Marti Robards of St. Mark’s St. Louis.

Congratulations to Angela and all the women nominated for this honor!
