ECW 2025 Scholarship Awardee

Diocese of Missouri ECW 2025 Scholarship Awarded

The Episcopal Church Women (ECW) Board of the Diocese of Missouri awarded its 2025 scholarship to Kayla Brown of Trinity St. James. The $1,000 scholarship is awarded every year to support women in the diocese in furthering their education in an area that focuses on service to others.

Kayla, who is majoring in early childhood education at Central Methodist University, is the youth minister at Trinity, St. James, and has been instrumental in resurrecting the parish’s youth program, according to Kevin McGrane, Trinity’s priest in charge. She is involved in many ways in the church and the community, works two jobs, and has maintained academic excellence. Kayla says she is “committed to becoming a dedicated educator who nurtures curiosity and fosters a love of learning.”
