The Rt. Rev. Deon K. Johnson was a plenary speaker at this year's Forma Conference in Alexandria, Virginia, Jan. 17-19, 2023.
Forma's Annual Conference is an opportunity to encourage and develop Christian educators, inside and outside the Episcopal tradition, help those leaders grow in how they educate and minister. The theme of this year's conference was "Called to Covenant." The four plenaries focused on how we are called, through Micah 6:8, to "do justice, love kindness, and walk humbly with God."
In his address, Bishop Deon focused on vocation - what is our piece of Christ and how do we do with it? "Vocation is figuring out what do we do with that piece of Christ with the time we have been given."
