"I invite you to support the Bishop’s Annual Appeal by joining me in the work of healing from oppression and racial division, shepherding and shaping the ministry of children and youth, and by standing up with those who are unhoused and underserved."

The Rt. Rev. Deon K. Johnson,
11th Bishop of The Episcopal Diocese of Missouri

The Bishop's Annual Appeal is an opportunity for us to financially support three specific ministries, over and above the funds allocated by our annual budget.

Appeal Dates

  • May - August 2024

Our Fundraising Goal

  • $30,000 (to be split between the three ministries)

Ministries

  • JustFood Truck (Jubilee Ministry)
The JustFood Truck is taking food to those who need it the most throughout the Diocese of Missouri. The truck offers good food to hungry people and provides a ministry of presence in areas of high poverty.

  • Camp Phoenix Scholarship Fund
Camp Phoenix is the official summer camp of the Diocese of Missouri. Programs for youth ages 8-18 are designed to bring youth into closer contact with God and into closer community with each other.

  • Chester Hines Racial Reconciliation Fund
The Chester Hines Racial Reconciliation Fund was established by Diocesan Convention in 2021 to seed a $1 million endowment fund. To date, we have raised approximately $48,000 for this fund. The fund is named for the Rev. Deacon Chester Hines, who has passionately worked toward racial reconciliation throughout his career in the Diocese of Missouri.
