The General Convention is the governing body of The Episcopal Church. Every three years it meets as a bicameral legislature that includes the House of Deputies and the House of Bishops, composed of deputies and bishops from each diocese.
The legislative session of the 81st General Convention will be held from June 23 through June 28, 2024, in Louisville, Kentucky. The Diocese of Missouri will be represented by our bishop, four elected clergy members, and four elected lay members.
Dr. Michael Booker from St. Francis Episcopal Church in Eureka is one of our elected lay members. Michael offers this video to explain how you can learn about legislation and let your voice be heard at this year's General Convention.
