"This week should be short with Monday canceled due to the Easter holiday, a charity softball tournament Wednesday, and the pressing needs around hitting the May 6th deadline on the budget. So there isn't much time to spend on controversial legislation, but we never know for certain." - from this week's MOJWJ Legislative Update on Unemployment Cuts, Initiative Petition Defense, Medicaid Expansion & Public Education.

There has been no movement on House Bill 1462 (which passed the House about a month ago) in the Senate, which would force guns to be allowed in congregations and on public transit.

From Erin Reed on Twitter: SB 843 is on today's senate calendar in Missouri (Tues., 4/19). It would medically detransition all trans teens in the state and create more trans refugees in our own country. They can bring it up any time to debate and vote. Call your senators! [If you wish to contact all MO State Senators, here is a complete list.]
