2026 Absalom Jones Celebration
With the guest speaker, The Rev. Nontombi Naomi Tutu.
The Commission on Dismantling Racism warmly invites you to gather for the Absalom Jones Celebration, a time set apart for reflection, connection, and joyful remembrance.
Together, we will honor the legacy of Absalom Jones, the first Black priest ordained in The Episcopal Church, and recommit ourselves to the ongoing work of justice, reconciliation, and building the Beloved Community. This gathering offers space to remember, to celebrate, and to be renewed in our shared call to dismantle racism and live more fully into God’s vision of belovedness for all people.
All are welcome, and we look forward to celebrating with you as we give thanks for the witness of Absalom Jones and the work that continues among us today.
