November 20, 2024, is Transgender Day of Remembrance

We will gather to grieve and honor the memories of those lost within the past year. There are three opportunities to observe Trans Day of Remembrance (TDoR) on November 20. Below are the details with times and specific locations for each. The times are staggered so you can participate in all three or select particular events individually as your schedule allows. All are free and open to the public. All are welcome.

4 PM: Trans Day of Remembrance Community Gathering hosted by the Metro Trans Umbrella Group (MTUG) at the MTUG Community Center (3133 Oregon Ave., St. Louis, MO 63118)

5 PM: Candlelight Procession and Vigil hosted by the Metro Trans Umbrella Group (MTUG). This will be a procession from the MTUG Community Center to the Transgender Memorial Garden (2800 Wyoming St., St. Louis, MO 63118).

6:30 PM: Evening Prayer at St. John's Episcopal Church, Tower Grove (3664 Arsenal St., St. Louis, MO 63116). During this contemplative service we will read the names of Trans persons killed in the past year.
