In the Episcopal Church, we celebrate and uplift multiple orders of ministry: lay leadership, monastic or religious life, diaconal ministry, and priestly ministry. And we believe that those calls to ministry are discovered and discerned in community. We don’t go off by ourselves and decide what God wants us to do with our lives. We gather with trusted spiritual companions and listen together for the nudging of the Spirit.
On Saturday, May 2 from 10 am - 4 pm, the Diocese of Missouri will host a Discernment Day at St. Peter's in Ladue, MO. This an opportunity for anyone discerning a new call to ministry to come learn more about the call and formation process. Who in your congregation may have untapped gifts? Who needs the invitation to bravely name that they might be called to a new season and new identity in their discipleship? Is it you?
